Rand Fishkin CEO & Co-Founder of SEOmoz, a leader in the field of search engine optimization tools, resources & community came to Scotland in February 2010 to help launch the OnlineXcellence initiative.
In 2009, he co-authored the Art of SEO from O'Reilly Media and was named among the 30 Best Young Tech Entrepreneurs Under 30 by BusinessWeek.
Rand has been written about it in The Seattle Times, Newsweek and the NY Times among others and keynoted conferences on search around the world. He's particularly passionate about the SEOmoz blog, read by tens of thousands of search professionals each day.
At the end of 2009 Rand was voted into the top 10 of the 100 most influential online marketers of 2009. In his miniscule spare time, Rand enjoys the company of his amazing wife, Geraldine.
Roy Gardner studied at Central College in 1993 completing the first ever HND Advertising & PR course to run in Scotland and is a regular speaker at OnlineXcellence MasterClass events.
Moving into employment straight from College, he managed to secure a position within one of Scotland's largest Advertising Agencies.
Having spent over 8 years in various agencies across the Ad industry he moved into Education and in September 2004 began a career in Marketing with Central College.
In this time Roy has been responsible for numerous product launches, rebranding projects and general promotional activity for the college.
At the beginning of 2009 he was appointed as Head of Marketing, Business & International Partnerships as part of the Senior Management Team and is tasked with looking after the commercial activity of the college.
